Let me first clarify that this article is about the progression of cartoons in India and not about food.  Being a 90's kid, I have no qualms about stating that we had better cartoons than any generation before or since. Those were the good old days when Cartoon Network screened from 5.30 a.m till 5.30 p.m. That is 12 hours worth of exposure to American sensibilities. We became used to that kind of humour and understanding of the world. Although cartoons like Mickey Mouse or Tom and Jerry had a universal appeal, some like Johnny Bravo were distinctly American. We still remember you! The cartoons of this generation are a little different.  Though there are American cartoons available, they seem like cheap imitation jewelery in comparison to those from the golden era of the 90's. Around the same time as the quality of cartoons deteriorated, there was a new addition in the form of the shows being dubbed in regional languages. The horror of cartoon watchers...

When I am short of cash ,which is close to never because I am terrific at Living On Little ('LOL' I call it), I stay away from movie halls,malls, book stores and hypermarkets. When I have extra money, I feel consumerist tendencies flowing through my blood. It is this beautiful evil temptation to splurge and make your wallet feel lighter. It's not the question of what I should buy. It's just that I should buy.Period. So.. I bought this book called The Comedians by Graham Greene. This sounds like a fun book, I said to myself. Little did I know that a dose of realism was in store for me. Whats the Story? It is set in Haiti . The country is under the regime of Papa Doc: A dictator that noone wants to rebel against. The main characters are Mr. Smith,Major Jones and Mr.Brown. They have singular distinguishing features. Mr. Smith is someone who wont budge from his character. Mr.Jones is someone who is untrustworthy. Mr.Brown is an untrusting realist. It's about how...
