Procrastination is a bad word.
Final Exams are a pain if you have studied but not learnt and if you want marks you don't deserve. My finals started on 3rd of this month and end on 30th of this month. And I just have 5 subjects.
Yeah,C.B.S.E is a mad bitch.
So now I have like 10 days left for my next(and last) exam.
Whoooo will feel like studying you tell me? So I spend my time designing and updating this blog and checking other blogs.
And i recently rekindled my love for hindi songs. After like two years of ignoring it and listening to the best of english--The Beatles,Snow Patrol,Bryan Adams,Enrique,Colbie Calat,Coldplay etc., I am back to the world of the hindi where in the end,no matter what, everything will become alright through a teary eyed reunion followed by a six minute song. They over do it a bit don't they.
Hindi movies always make me smile that broad haaaappy smile. They are so colorful! Figuratively. Actually literally also.
The bonds are traditional in the movies and the comedy slapstick. The music soul grabbing replay material and the cinematography impeccable always with foreign locations. The movie itself is always dragged.Paisa Vasool!
But modern cinema is annoyingly modern. They try to go global, try being the operative word. Still waiting for a movie that I will applaud for to release this year.
It's like a teenage girl changing herself to fit in with everyone else. She loses her identity. It doesn't work for her.All she has to do is be herself.

While I am at this topic I would like to inform all the old people(older than me that is) reading this that the youth still do appreciate family ties. And rap is not all they listen to either. We aren't the insufferable brats you make us out to be.I know this because I am vastly in tune with the general youth's thoughts.
I got carried away,I was talking about hindi songs.
Here is a list of what I am listening to,they are not the dhin-chak dance material. All of them speak about philosophies of life and love. They belong to a different era. Aaaah, good old hindi songs.
1.Kuch na kaho-- 1942 a love story
2.Chu kar mere mann ko--Yaarana
3.Jabse tere naina--Sawariyaa
4.Zindagi ek safar--Andaaz
5.Tumse milke aisa lagaa--Parinda
Well listen to these five for now. you can easily find them on online downloading sites.
If you like em I shall post more.
Ayyo i have to go study now.

Nice Quote by Bill Cosby and quite true ... thought to share as you were mentioning abt liking old songs :)
ReplyDeleteNothing separates the generations more than music. By the time a child is eight or nine, he has developed a passion for his own music that is even stronger than his passions for procrastination and weird clothes.
