1.Nelson Mandela's Autobiography (I forget what it's called)
2.Screw it,Let's Do it By Richard Brandson (again,an autobiography)
3.Frankenstein By Mary shelly
4.Jude the Obscure By Thomas Hardy
5.Tess of the D'Uberville by Thomas Hardy
6.A room of One's Own By Virginia Woolf

The last three were a part of my syllabus this semester, but I was too distracted by life events to sit and read them. It is not going to be easy completing this list,especially since classics and autobiographies are my weak points. Nevertheless, I will try my level best.


My friends have been disappointed with me. Why, you ask. It so happens that I have not watched any of the era changing movies like Gladiator and Avatar. Yes,my non-existent readers. I know you are thinking that I have no business writing a blog on movies. I have already been informed that I am a disgrace to the movie watching community.boo-hoo.


Atleast I have watched Plan 9 from Outer space.
Last exam tomorrow...Then Imma taste freedom!!!

Season finale(season one) of Dexter tonight at 10  ! I am aware of the fact that the season one had ended long back(probably years back) but I came to know of the series in febuary February. Creepy and intriguing with way too much blood involved.Watched the episodes on and off whenever I could catch them but watched enough to understand the story and to know that I like it. American Television is the best,just brilliant. Meanwhile I have been reading The Zahir by Paulo Coelho-done with 170 pages. He should get his hair colored violet. I haven't read many books. Never Listen to Yourself

Phase 1  'Listen to your heart' is a popular phrase. Used by musicians, teenage girls and start-up businessmen. It is actually an unfinished phrase. The full version of it would be 'Listen to your heart, if you want to perish.' Our heart tells us things like 'sure, it's okay to have a fourth round of roadside paani puri, and no,that dress is not too expensive.' And a little more scary things like 'Yes, you should feel righteous about killing that guy' and 'we will go to any length to protect our way of living.' Its not that the heart shouldn't be trusted. Wait, no its exactly that. I have no scientific backing and only the unwilling social experiment of my own life to fall back on when I say, our mind makes us do stupid stuff(heart/mind/limbic system/hormones/lalala). It makes us hold on to bad relationships, it makes a diabetic want sweets, it makes us put the alarm on snooze for the fifth time when we were supposed to be at work ...

Bollywood has always been under the radar for being sexist, misogynist and downright gross. This is reflected in item number songs, which are hummed without a blurred lines-esque protest shaping up.
