Humid History lessons

My friend had lent me a comic on the bosnian war called Safe Area Gorazde. It describes the plight of the people of Gorazde (a place in Bosnia) as they are a tiny population surrounded by people who want to kill them. Like literally surrounded. Ans the pwople who want to kill them used to be their neighbous. It is a realistic and well written comic, but my habit of reading things till the middle and then forgetting about it persisted here too. I was going to give my friends the book back but he refused to take it without me finishing it. And he gave me two more books to read.

Richard Branson

So Sir Richard Branson's autobiography is called Losing My Virginity. Clever. For those of you who don't know, Richard owns Virgin Group. It's good word play, except you can take it up in its literal sense too since Sir R underlines his love history too. Being a businessman he understands that sex sells. Not in a vulgar way but in a very matter of fact, 'this is what happens in life way'. And that's what I liked about the autobiography, it doesn't just show his life, it shows how he has lived. What I like about Richard is that he's always smiling this wonderful warm smile. He makes mistakes, many mistakes, but he moves on. If I live half as much as he has (in terms of experience) I would die content. I talk as if I have finished reading the book. I haven't.
