I am so glad.

Im so glad my new room mate likes reading. And she isn't a lit student! She was reading ladies coupe by Anita Nair . I remembered that in some context, my literature teacher had asked me to read it. So I asked her to give me the book after she was done. She was kind enough to oblige. As I began reading the book, I felt a sense of dread fill me from the inside. You see, it is a very female centric book. In the first few pages it showed me how wome CHOOSE to be meek because it is an easier way to live. It is easier to think about others well being than your own. Yes it is that kind of book. The basic story revolves around a train ride to kanyakumari in a second class ladies compartment. The thing about train rides is, for those moments that you are on the train, you usually bond with fellow passengers, especially if you are travelling alone. Just done with two chapters... I have to say it has captured my interest. I really want to watch Shanghai, but my friends seem skeptical about the movie being good. Might drag mom to watch it. Bharat maata ki jai!
