Studies and Theives

Did you know that every text message you send is stored for four years?

I am back in my home town and I have already managed to lose my spectacles.
Dust welcomed me as I entered my room sweet room..haaachu
I have returned for the noble purpose of studying (pssshhhht, yea right!)
We have a long study leave and I intend to know a little bit of psychology before the end of it.
That means I have little or no discretionary time (fancy way of saying free time) for myself.

There are two things I want to write on this blog today. About this movie called bicycle thief and the second about womens handkerciefs.

Bicycle thief is a story set in a time of high unemployment. Its about a man who needs a bicycle to do his job. Unfortunately for him someone steals it.

According to the web search that I did, it is a critically acclaimed movie. It is one of those movies that works on the notion of realism and it didn't use professional actors. The director of the movie is Vittorio De Sica. It has a simple yet moving plot line. Maybe it is because I have been studying psychology for the past few days that I was keenly observing the beautiful portrayal of his slight changes in behavior as his situation subtly changes from bad to worse. His son Bruno tries to help him find the cycle. Towards the end Bruno is disillusioned. This disillusionment is something that every child goes through at some point or the other. The realisation that parents are only human.

Women's handkerchiefs, like women's attire, is not utility based. It's a romantic symbol. A woman giving her handkerchief to the lover who is leaving to a far away land.
Look at me! I am so white and delicate!

It can be a conversation starter as the woman coyly drops it so that a man would find it and return it to her. Yet it does not serve the purposes of a nose wiper, Not if you have a nose like mine and sneezing thrice in a row is common place for you. It is a tool for gender bias.I sincerely hope that kerchief manufacturers read this and act upon the same.
We need an emancipated handkerchief.
